SUPERMAN RETURNS TO THE SILVER SCREEN!
There was a sense of excitement and anticipation in the air on June 27th, 2006 as Hawaii Superman fans gathered at Consolidated Theaters Ward 16 to see Superman Returns! Before getting in line, people stopped off at the SupermanHawaii.com booth to answer trivia ques
tions for a chance to win a pack of Superman Returns trading cards.
Superman Returns has strong Hawaii ties. From Director Bryan Singer’s initial meetings with Hawaii resident Chris Lee who is its Executive Producer, to the four interns from the University of Hawaii’s Academy for Creative Media.
As an added treat, SupermanHawaii.com hosted three of the four interns (Ronson Akina, Matt Ortiz and Nelson Quan) at the event who arrived and answered some questions about the movie, and share some photos from the set in Australia.
Just before the film, the interns were introduced and they expressed how wonderful their experience was and how proud they were of the movie. Nelson Quan couldn’t stress enough that
Bryan Singer has an amazing attention to detail and promised that everyone would enjoy the film.
The final event before seeing Superman Returns was a Prize Pack
giveaway. The first three people to the front of the screen were given a trivia question. The winner was awarded the Superman Returns Prize Pack which included a movie book, an action figure and trading cards.
